Student Task

Question: Concerning the Congress of Vienna & the Treaty of Versailles, why do you think that France was unjust in the decision of Germany's role in the Treaty? Although France got off easy in the Congress of Vienna where they really should have gotten punished, they did not show the same mercy to Germany. Why were they not? Analyze relations between France and its allies, and relations between Germany. Compare and contrast enormity of Germany to the one of France, and terms on both negotiations for both countries. Did France really have the right to persecute Germany? If the Treaty of Versailles had been as friendly to Germany as it was to France, could War World II have been avoided?
